Questions & Answers
FAQ
Q: Can I use Powerness power station to power devices and appliances while charging it?
A: Yes, you can. You can use both at the same time.
Q: How long does it take to fully charge a Powerness power station?
A: It depends on the capacity of your power station and the charging method.
Working time (estimation) =1536Wh * 0.85 / operating power of your device. (0.85=Conversion Rate)
Q: What devices can Powerness power station power/handle?
A: The larger the capacity of the power station, the higher the wattage appliances it can handle. For example, the Hiker U1500 has a continuous AC output of 1500 watts, meaning you can plug an appliance up to 1500W with the Hiker U1500. Some research on your side may be required to determine the power of your device.
Q: Why am I not getting the full watt hours as indicated?
A: When using the AC outlets, there is a loss from the inverter. The loss is around 15%.
Q: Can I use a solar panel with a power station? How do I pick the right solar panel for my power station?
A: Yes, you can use solar panels with a power station. When picking the panel, make sure you look at 2 things, the input voltage, amperage, and the input connector size. The output voltage and amperage of the solar panel have to be lower than the input voltage of the power station. As long as the voltage and amperage match, pick the solar panel with higher wattage for better efficiency.
We recommend using Powerness solar panel with your power station for a trouble-free connection.
Q: Can I take my Powerness power station on a plane?
A: No. According to FAA regulations, you are not allowed to take any battery exceeding 100Wh on a plane. Visit FAA Pack Safe for the most up-to-date information.
Q: How to turn Powerness power station off?
A: Turn the USB button & AC button off. Make sure there is no USB and AC indicator on the LCD screen. The screen and machine will shut off automatically after 2 minutes.
Q: Why is my Hiker not charging through a solar panel?
A: 1. The working voltage of the panel is not in the following range.
Hiker U1500 DC input Port(6330): Voc 12V-30V / 199.8W Max /6.66A Max.
2. The battery level is close to 100%.
3. The "+ -" poles are misconnected.
4. The solar panels have volts but no amps(less than 0.7A), this could be caused by internal faults of the panel itself, poor weather conditions, or placed under shaded areas.
